If your teenager is busy with their mobile device and has no time to look up from the screen, it’s safe to assume they might be in the middle of voting for their favorite artists for the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards. While the award season has passed, this new platform to honor the entertainers heard on the radio has really been a rally call for individuals who want to share their pride in a particular artist or group. In fact, the voting has gotten so heated that there are reports that some fans are texting during work, school and even dinner.

So what is up with the interest in the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards? Fans are finding that sharing a hashtag over social media counts as a vote and the more votes a nominee has, the more likely they will win an award. All of this means more interaction is necessary and that as the reason people are going insane tweeting, posting and even mentioning the hashtags is to vote over and over.

The  2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards are going to be hosted this year by Jamie Foxx and will be live on NBC at the end of the month By then expect millions, if not billions, of votes to be tallied up to find out who is going to get the awards. While it might look like there will be surprises for this award show, it’s kind of doubtful as the biggest fan base is sure to pull in the most votes, but that’s OK as there are already some big winners.  All the popular artists will win with the extra boost they are getting for their music and people will be tuning in to their radios after the award show.
