Welcome 2015! I have to admit that the excitement for the new year feels amazing. Not only do I have some big plans, there are a few big trips planned and I will be speaking around the country. Every year on New Year’s Day, I find it’s a good time to reflect on all the good that has come from the previous year and plan on a few things that I hope for in the upcoming year . Over the past few days, I have set out to put together some lofty goals and made a few resolutions. I can hardly wait to put the finishing touches on things when the holidays are over and get started.
One big change that I am welcoming is the opportunity I have to speak. As the schedule seems to be coming together very well, it appears I will be traveling around the country with stops confirmed in Miami, Chicago and even Bismark! The chance to speak in any area is welcoming for me as this is the year of words. Well, technically people could point out that I think every year the year of words, but then again there is nothing wrong with celebrating words.
Another cool aspect of 2015 is all the opportunities I have lined up. Not only is award season kicking off in less than a week, my new podcast is starting next week and my column continues to do well. While 2014 was the introduction to my radio segments around the country, it appears that my voice will be heard on more mediums than ever in 2015 as several new stations are trying out the segment in January.
My desire to get to Disneyland is obviously a priority too. Last night I celebrated the New Year at the mouse house with a delightful moment when the crowd got super excited when the clock struck midnight. Mickey and I made a promise to see each other once a week with additional trips to Disney World as needed.
The biggest resolution I have for 2015? To find a little more joy in life. The idea I get to live in Los Angeles and pursue my dreams needs to be celebrated. Don’t be surprised as I plan to carry on a bit with all of you as it is going to be a great year.
